Bloomwrite helps mission-driven organisations across scholarly publishing, research, and education communicate more clearly and engage more effectively with their communities.
The organisations we work with are doing important work. They’re just not always communicating it in a way that reflects that.
Sometimes there is lots of work happening, but nothing quite joins up. Sometimes a strategy exists but has drifted from reality. Sometimes there is a clear sense that something needs to change but no capacity to step back and figure out what.
We work alongside you to bring clarity, focus, and momentum – whether that means building a strategy, designing an engagement programme, providing ongoing communications leadership, or simply helping you get something specific done well.
Experienced communications leadership working alongside your team on an ongoing basis. Setting the direction, getting things done.

Terri Teleen, President, Americas at Emerald Publishing
Bloomwrite was founded by Jen O’Shaughnessy-Beal, who spent two decades working in and around scholarly publishing and research. Most of that time was at Wiley, leading communications and engagement programmes reaching researchers, editors, and communities worldwide.
She set up Bloomwrite because she kept seeing the same thing: organisations doing important work whose communications were not reflecting it. Bloomwrite exists to change that.
